As you can see, we place significant emphasis on face-to-face interactions. For our initial study, we’ll also be capturing alternate methods of communication, such as email, however as Tom Allen shows in his ’97 study – the majority of complex information dissemination goes through face-to-face channels rather than email or phone. If there was a significant piece of knowledge I wanted to share with you, I might call or email you to set up a meeting – but the actual knowledge gets transferred through these face-to-face interactions- like we are having now.
